This article analyzes the historiographical issues of the land and water reform implemented by the Soviet government in Uzbekistan, which represents one of the most controversial socio-economic measures of the 1920s in Uzbek history. The paper specifically examines the study and interpretation of this problem within the framework of Soviet-era historiography.
