This article examines the ways in which the concept of “or-nomus” (honor and dignity) is represented in the phraseological system of the Uzbek language from linguocultural and semantic perspectives. Throughout the article, phraseological units that reflect the concept of honor and dignity are identified, and their semantic groupings, figurative characteristics, and national-cultural content are analyzed. It is demonstrated that in phraseological expressions the concept of or-nomus is conveyed through such semantic components as shame, honor, conscience, and moral responsibility. The findings of the study may serve as an important theoretical resource for academic research in the fields of conceptology, phraseology, and linguocultural studies.
