Abstract

Independent study has become an essential component of modern education, promoting learner autonomy, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. As educational institutions increasingly adopt student-centered approaches, independent study enables learners to take responsibility for their own academic development while enhancing their problem-solving and research skills. This article examines the role of independent study in the education system, analyzes its impact on students' academic performance and personal development, and discusses the conditions necessary for its effective implementation. The study is based on a review of contemporary educational literature and comparative analysis of existing research findings.
