USING GAMES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

This article explores the role of games in English language teaching and learning. Games are considered one of the most effective teaching techniques for increasing students’ motivation, participation, and language proficiency. The study examines different types of educational games and their impact on developing language skills such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The findings indicate that game-based learning creates a positive classroom environment, encourages communication, and improves students’ academic performance. The article also highlights the importance of integrating games into modern English language instruction.
