Abstract

The contemporary paradigm of foreign language education emphasizes the development of communicative competence through the integrated teaching of language components. Among these components, lexical and grammatical materials occupy a central position as they constitute the basis of linguistic proficiency and communicative performance. The present article examines the theoretical and methodological principles underlying the use of lexical and grammatical materials in English language teaching. Particular attention is devoted to the interrelationship between vocabulary and grammar, their role in the formation of communicative competence, and modern pedagogical approaches to their integration within the educational process. The study argues that the successful acquisition of English largely depends on the balanced and context-based presentation of lexical and grammatical content.
