This article explores the role of Task-Based Learning in promoting communicative competence in foreign language classrooms. In many language learning contexts, students may know grammar rules and vocabulary, but they often face difficulties when using the target language in real communication. Task-Based Learning helps solve this problem by placing meaningful tasks at the center of the learning process. Through activities such as role-plays, information-gap tasks, problem-solving discussions, interviews, decision-making tasks, and presentations, learners use language for practical purposes. This approach develops not only speaking fluency, but also interactional competence, vocabulary use, grammatical accuracy in context, strategic competence, learner autonomy, and confidence
