Abstract

This thesis examines the problem of social support for persons with disabilities in the intellectual heritage of Eastern thinkers, jurists and statesmen. The material shows that care for vulnerable groups was regarded not as a secondary act of charity, but as an important measure of justice, moral responsibility and good governance. The study focuses on ideas reflected in Islamic jurisprudence, moral philosophy and public administration: recognition of legal capacity, compassion, material assistance, labor inclusion, tax relief and protection from oppression. The central conclusion is that Eastern intellectual thought viewed persons with disabilities as individuals whose dignity, rights and social participation had to be protected.
