Abstract

Writing plays a central role in language acquisition as it integrates cognitive processing, communicative competence, and pedagogical practice. This article explores the importance of writing from three interconnected perspectives: cognitive, communicative, and pedagogical, drawing on the research framework developed by Tehrana Khudaberdiyeva. From a cognitive standpoint, writing enhances memory, organization of thought, and language processing. From a communicative perspective, it serves as a tool for meaningful expression and interaction. Pedagogically, writing fosters learner autonomy, critical thinking, and academic literacy.
