Abstract

This article examines the strategic partnerships of global companies as a flexible form of interorganizational cooperation that allows firms to combine complementary resources, accelerate market entry, share risks, and strengthen innovation capacity without losing legal independence. The study systematizes the main types of strategic alliances, identifies the conditions that turn partnership into a source of sustainable competitive advantage, and analyzes the factors that frequently lead to weak performance or alliance breakdown. Special attention is given to governance design, trust, knowledge sharing, asymmetry of power, cultural differences, and the tension between cooperation and competition.
