Abstract

This article explores the significance of religious and secular holidays in the cultural and social development of societies. It analyzes how both types of holidays reflect the spiritual, historical, and civic values of nations. Religious holidays strengthen moral purity and spiritual unity, while secular holidays reinforce social cohesion, national pride, and civic responsibility. Through comparative and typological analysis, this study examines the functions of holidays in shaping social identity, maintaining traditions, and promoting intercultural understanding in the globalized world.
