Abstract

Linguistics plays a crucial role in understanding human communication, culture and social interaction. Linguists contribute to society not only through the study of language structure but also through practical applications in education, translation, technology, politics, healthcare and intercultural communication. In the modern globalized world, language has become an essential instrument of social integration and international cooperation. The work of linguists helps preserve endangered languages, improve communication systems, support language policy development and facilitate effective education. Furthermore, linguistic research contributes to the advancement of artificial intelligence, media studies and sociocultural development. This article examines the role of linguists in society, their major fields of activity and the importance of linguistic knowledge in contemporary social life.
