The work of linguists helps preserve endangered languages, improve communication systems, support language policy development and facilitate effective education. Furthermore, linguistic research contributes to the advancement of artificial intelligence, media studies and sociocultural development. This article examines the role of linguists in society, their major fields of activity and the importance of linguistic knowledge in contemporary social life.
