Abstract

In this article, an attempt was made to analyze the legal status, powers, official activities, and personal characteristics of the Governor-Generals, who were considered representatives of the Russian Empire's trust in the Turkestan region and implementers of colonial policy for 50 years, through sources of the period and modern historical research.
