POSTNATAL ONTOGENETIC DEVELOPMENT OF PULMONARY BRONCHI IN EARLY CHILDHOOD (1–3 YEARS)
Abstract
Early childhood (1–3 years) represents a critical period in the postnatal ontogenesis of the respiratory system. During this stage, pulmonary bronchi undergo significant structural and functional maturation. The present thesis highlights age-related morphometric and histological changes in the bronchial wall, epithelial differentiation, smooth muscle development, elastic fiber organization, and immune component maturation. Understanding these developmental characteristics is essential for improving pediatric respiratory care and preventing bronchopulmonary disorders.
